What happens

Your child's visit, step by step

1

A listening ear

We start by listening to you. We want to hear exactly what you've observed, when it started, and what your main concerns are.

Clear follow-up instructions

You’ll leave knowing exactly what to do next, including what warning signs to watch for and when you should bring them back.

Before your visit

What to bring

Helping us provide the best possible care

Medical & Vaccination Records

Always bring your child's health file, especially their vaccination card and records of any past hospitalizations or chronic conditions.

Symptom timeline

If your child is sick, bring notes on when the fever spiked, how high it went, and what specific symptoms you have noticed.

Current medications

Bring the physical bottles of any syrups, drops, or inhalers your child is currently taking so we can verify the exact dosages.

A comfort item

A favorite toy, blanket, or book can help keep your child calm and cooperative during their physical examination.

Common questions

Questions parents often ask

Do I need an appointment for a sick visit?

While we do accommodate urgent walk-ins for sick children, we highly recommend calling ahead to book a slot. This minimizes your wait time and reduces your child's exposure to other sick patients in the waiting area.

What ages do you treat?

We provide comprehensive care for children from the day they are born (newborns) all the way through their teenage years (up to 18 years old).

Do you prescribe antibiotics for common colds?

Only if a secondary bacterial infection is present. Most colds are viral, and antibiotics cannot cure viruses. Dr. Sushma practices strict antibiotic stewardship to protect your child's natural immunity and gut health.

Can we discuss behavioral or sleep concerns?

Absolutely. Physical health is only one part of pediatrics. We routinely help families navigate sleep training, toddler tantrums, school anxiety, and other behavioral or emotional milestones.

How long does a typical consultation take?

We schedule enough time to thoroughly examine your child and answer all your questions without rushing. Initial visits or complex concerns may take longer than a routine follow-up.
